Daily Record: Liverpool set Coutinho fee
Liverpool are prepared to sell the player for €150 million
Klopp is standing firm but the player is training without much intensity
Liverpool have put a price on Coutinho, at least according to the Daily Record, who say that the price has been set at €150 million. Barça already know what Liverpool are demanding after their latest offer of around €100 million was rejected.
The two clubs have been negotiating in recent days but have not reached an agreement but all the signs suggest an agreement will be reached sooner rather than later. According to reports, Jürgen Klopp has asked the club to take a firm stance during negotiations but even he seems more and more convinced that the player will leave.
The Daily Record also reports that sources at Liverpool say the player has not been training with much intensity in order to avoid an injury that would cause the deal to break down. The player is keen to leave and is just waiting for the two clubs to agree a fee.
Nevertheless, a fee of €150 million is above what Barça want to pay and may out of their reach, despite the €222 received for Neymar. The player has already submitted a transfer request.
