It seems that Lionel Messi's contract renewal with FC Barcelona imminent. In the coming weeks it could be finalised, according to 'El Partidazo' on Cadena COPE.
The information from COPE say the presence of Messi's father, Jorge Messi, in Barcelona has allowed talks to accelerate.
Jorge and Barça president Josep Maria Bartomeu have met in the last few days and, although it wasn't a long metting, "it was sufficient to continue working on the renewal of the Argentine star."
According to COPE, "the agreement is close" and it's a question of time. In the coming weeks both parties will try to "iron out certain aspects which worry Messi."
Barcelona hope to have Messi at the club for the rest of his career, whatever it takes.
