Controversial Pau Lopez comments raise tension ahead of derby clash

Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez has lit the fire ahead of the Catalan derby clash with Barcelona at the weekend. In one of the three earlier games this season he was involved in an incident where he stamped on Lionel Messi. 

Now, on El Club de la Mitjanit on Catalunya Radio, Pau Lopez recalled "the night of the Tamudazo was magical and I hope that we can repeat it."

Pau inisisted that "I don't think there are any accounts outstanding. They were very tense games, above all the second Copa del Rey game, and I think that what happened there will not repeat itself." 

Of his choice of title winner, Pau added: "I don't know who will win La Liga but I hope that it's a Madrid team that do it," referring to Atletico and Real Madrid.
