Confidential SPORT: Valverde shuts down Barça's training sessions

Barceloa coach Ernesto Valverde continues to show unquestionable coherence in his work with the team. When he arrived at the club he was interested in every detail of the daily routine and planning, asking about behind closed doors training sessions and how they were managed. For him, there was no problem if there was a little more access and he would have allowed the media to get more images, within certain restrictions. 

However, the club were not keen on that ideal and finally decided to keep training sessions closed, with the exception of the session before a game, when the first 15 minutes are open. 

But Valverde quickly realised as they days passed that there were a lot of people on the sidelines during his theortically closed sessions. When he asked the reason for so many people being present, the club explained they were guests and commercial committments. 

It was then when Valverde demanded the club try to reduce the amount of people because he felt that behind closed doors should mean behind closed doors, if that's what they had said when he started. Therefore, access has been limited to Barça's training sessions since. 

Since the coach's formal petition, the number of person in the stands has reduced notably. Now there are just a handful of people and they are usually family members of friends of the players.
