Claudio Bravo steps up recovery from leg injury

Claudio Bravo has stepped up his recovery work after injury and will be fit to play at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on October 3 against Sevilla. The game is the seventh match of the season, with the sixth coming against Las Palmas at Camp Nou this weekend.

Bravo, who suffered an muscle injury in his left leg in a training session on September 7, is enjoying a quick return and Luis Enrique can count on him for the Sevilla match, after the Las Palmas game and the Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen on the 29th of September.

The goalkeeper has been working with fitness coach Juanjo Brau and is feeling good, looking forward to helping the team out.

His return would allow him to feature for Chile too, in their World Cup 2018 qualifiers against Brazil (Santiago, October 8) and Peru (October 13 in Lima).

He has only played three matches since returning as champion of the Copa America in the summer. The second leg of the Spanish Super Cup (1-1 at home against Athletic), a 0-1 win over Athletic in the San Mames in la liga, and then a 1-0 win at home over Malaga in La Liga.

Behind closed doors

The team trained on Thursday behind closed doors, starting at 12pm, with no press conference afterwards.
