Claudio Bravo left out of Chile squad for "personal reasons"

Jorge Sampaoli has left Claudio Bravo out of the Chile squad for the match against Paraguay at the Estadio Nacional on September 5.

According to the Chilean Football Federation's press release, the Barcelona goalkeeper has been left out "for personal reasons".

Eduardo Vargas has also not been included in the squad for the same reason.

Bravo, who is the captain of the Chile side, and Vargas's "personal reasons" have not been made clear, although the latter recently explained that he needed time to adapt to his new side, Hoffenheim in Germany.

Charles Aranguiz, who recently joined Bayer Leverkusen, is also missing from the squad due to a long-term injury.

The match against Paraguay is Chile's last until they kick off their World Cup qualification campaign in October.
