Cillessen: I've not come here to enjoy life, I've come to play football

Jasper Cillessen arrived at Barcelona one month ago. The goalkeeper, who joined form Ajax, was presented at Camp Nou on Aug. 26.

Since then, he’s played just once -- the defeat to Alaves at Camp Nou. The starting stopper is Marc-Andre ter Stegen, but Cillessen will not give up and wants to change the situation.

The Dutchman has spoken about as much on a video uploaded to his Twitter account talking about his first four weeks with Barça.

“I want to get out on the pitch as soon as possible because I’ve not come here to enjoy life, I’ve come to play football,” the ambitious goalkeeper explained.

On the season, which has just got started, he’s convinced titles will be won, which is the only way his first year at Camp Nou will be a success.

He added: “It would be a success if we win La Liga. The Champions League, too. And for me it would be a success to win the Copa del Rey. I want to win titles like I did with Ajax.”
