Christian Eriksen's agent responds to Barcelona's interest
Martin Schoots says the rumours are being ignored for the time being
Eriksen is having a great season with Tottenham and Barça are watching
Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen is one of the players Barcelona are keen to try and sign this summer. The Dane has become an important part of Mauricio Pochettino's side and is, for now, focused on helping the London side.
Eriksen, who Frank de Boer recommended signs for Barcelona, has scored 12 goals this season and provided 20 assists in the games he has played for the Premier League team.
Amid reports of Barça's interest in Eriksen, his agent, Martin Schoots, has been speaking to Danish newspaper BT about the rumours.
"At the moment I prefer not to make comments on what's been written in the press about [Eriksen's] future," he said. "The only thing I can say is that Christian wants to focus on his games with Tottenham right now.
"The only thing he's thinking about is being important for the team, that's the only thing that worries him. We will let the rumours be rumours, while Christian can keep becoming more and more important to his team, thanks to his goals."
