Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City interested in Barça defender Gerard Pique

Clubs in England are paying a lot of attention to the goings on at Camp Nou.

Last summer's departures of Alexis Sanchez and Cesc Fabregas have lef to Premier League sides keeping their eye on several more Barcelona players.

One of those is Gerard Pique.

He is not the only one, but he is the one being chased by Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City.

The centre-back insists he wants to stay in Catalonia, though:

"I've always said I want to retire here," he said recently.

"I am a fan of Barça, I've been so since I was a child and I want to stay."

However, we've heard similar words from Cesc Fabregas after he returned completed his "dream" by returning to the Catalan club from Arsenal.

The reality is that things constantly change and nobody is safe in football.

In this sense, Pique is experiencing a strange season in Luis Enrique's first campaign in charge of the club.

And it is true that he's not playing as well as he once was.

He has already played in England - with Man Utd between 2004 and 2008 - and that would make his incorporation easier.

Clubs aren't thinkig about Pique in terms of next summer, either, but in terms of January

Jose Mourinho is happy with Fabregas' readaption to English football and is aware the midfielder's presence in the team could be alluring to Pique.

Thinking that John Terry is moving past his best, Roman Abramovich would be ready to pay €30million for the defender.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are desperate for defenders.

However, they are only prepared to offer €25illion, while Man City are waiting with a €28million bid.

Luis Enrique's opinion on the matter will be key - he'll have the last word on the subject.
