Catradio: The numbers behind Sergi Roberto's new Barça contract

Sergi Roberto is close to signing his new contract with Barcelona. After several meetings, the midfielder and the club are close to a final agreement. 

According to the show Tot Costa on Catalunya Radio, Roberto will see his current terms, which expire in 2019, significantly improved. 

The report says that the academy graduate's new contract will run through until 2023, with a release clause of 300 million euros. 

In addition, he will see his salary increase to €10 million gross annually, with bonuses on top of that pending individual and team performances. 

The deal could be signed in the coming weeks and could even be announced before the end of the year.

There's a good relationship between all the parties involved and there's no reason for the agreement not to be fulfilled.
