Can Martin Montoya deal with Lionel Messi on Saturday?

Full-back Martin Montoya will meet the club he played for over 15 years. The player, who was loaned to Inter Milan last summer ended up at Betis in February, where he has found regularity and confidence that he didn't have at Barcelona or in Italy.

At Betis he has started to feel like a footballer again. Juan Merino, the coach, believes in him and has made him a starter. However, the player has had to change - in the last few games he's started playing as a left-back.

His change of position means that on Saturday he could end up trying to battle with the best player in the world - Lionel Messi. Can he stop him? The Catalan defender answered that question in a press conference.

"It's my turn to face the best in the world. That's a problem, but we will try to do it in the best way possible," explained Montoya.

He is happy in Seville. "I feel loved here. What I expected at Betis - this has gone beyond that," he told Estadio Deportivo. His loan to Betis ends in the summer. The defender knows these are key games to decide his future.
