Busquets: It's clear we need new signings
The midfielder accepts that the team has lost a lot with the departure of Neymar
He asked for a special effort from the club: "The more players that come, the better".
Sergio Busquets acknowledges that Barça need attacking reinforcements and praised the signing of Paulinho “a player with different characteristics”.
"It’s clear the team has lost a lot with the departure of Neymar,” Busquets admitted, “it’s clear because of how good a player Ney is”.
Buquets also clarified his comments after the Super Cup (“I meant that the team needs to be refreshed every year, not just because of the result against Madrid”) but reiterated that the club needs to “improve the squad because we need attacking players after Neymar’s departure and to improve all over the pitch”.
Busquets asked the club to make an effort, even though the market is inflated: “The more players that come, the better,” he said.
The Catalan also had a message for the fans, “We have a good team, we’re capable of having a great season, that’s what we’re focusing on. We want to convince the fans but the off-the-field situation does not depend on me. I hope a lot of signings come and that they are of the highest quality”.
