Bruno Henrique expects the player to go to Barcelona

"We are going to miss him," he said on Thursday

All the time there are more clues that place Lucas Lima at Barcelona in 2018. The Brazilian press have said as much and the midfielder said so himself at a poker event with Neymar.

After Santos' game on Thursday, his club team-mate Bruno Henrique stopped in the mixed zone and was asked about Lima's move to Barça. And his words could not have been clearer.

"We are happy and sad at the same time," he said. "We are happy for him, because of the player that he is. He's a player whose quality is not up for debate, a Brazil international and he's helped Santos a lot.

"He is going to be super happy at the team he goes to. Weare going to miss him, but life continues. We wish him a lot of luck in Barcelona. But now we have to keep moving forward, we can't stop."

Meanwhile, Levir Culpi, the Santos manager, told the club not to break the bank to keep hold of Lucas, whose contract expires at the end of the year so he can move to Barça for free in January.

"Everyone wants Lucas, because he's a good player and I, too, would like to be able to count on him," he said. "If he goes, will I lament it? I prefer, for example, if it's a financial decision, to have a group that's on a similar level economically than one player earning a lot."
