Borussia Monchengladbach's Raffael: Help! My kids support Neymar!
The Brazilian forward is worried his children will support his compatriot ahead of him on Wednesday!
Raffael will line up on the home side on Wednesday night when Borussia Monchengladbach take on Barcelona. The Brazilian forward has been speaking to BILD ahead of the game, posing for a photo with his children alongside a curious caption: “Help! My kids support Neymar!”
Raffael has always manifested a special admiration for the Barça forward and in the report in the German newspaper he goes even further by revealing there will be a small ‘drama’ when the Catalan side come to town in the Champions League group stage. “My kids love Neymar. I think in terms of football he’s more of a mirror for them than I am. I’m scared that they’ll support Neymar more than [Monchengladbach] when we play!”
The Brazilian warned that his two children “Junior and Raikcy have to come to the stadium with a Gladbach shirt on.” However, he did admit that “in exchange, I will try to swap shirts with Neymar after the match finishes.”
Raffael renewed his contract with the Bundesliga side until 2019, rejecting various offers during the transfer window from elsewhere. “If Barça had been one of them, I would have had to have gone. No-one can say no to Barcelona.”
