Sick Lionel Messi was forced to pull out of Malaga game

Lionel Messi is sick and will not be able to play for Barcelona against Malaga on Saturday afternoon.

After being included in the squad for the game the club announced that he was a late absentee because he felt ill and was throwing up. 

It is similar to the illness he had while flying with Argentina but that appeared to be due to turbulence.

Carles Alena has taken Messi’s place in the squad.

Barcelona will now be worried about the game with Luis Suarez also out through suspension, although Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba return after their injury problems.
