He currently has 7.278 signatures for his vote of no confidence

On Friday there will be 50 centres for socios to add their signature

Agusti Benedito is confident of reaching the 16,570 signatured needed to take the vote of no confidence against Josep Maria Bartomeu and the Barcelona board to a referendum.

So far, he revealed on Thursday, he has 7,278 socios signed up. "We’re above our expectations and we’re convinced we’re going to achieve it," he said.

Benedito says he still has two home games to get signatures -- against Eibar and Las Palmas -- although the club say he only has the former, with a debate about when the deadline for signatures is.

"We are totally convinced that Saturdays are not working days," Benedito added. "Our legal team and third party legal teams have recognised as much.

"Hopefully the board present their resignation before Nov. 1. I think they are worried, they don’t have any direction, you can tell with Bartomeu. That’s why they’ve created so many obstacles."

Benedito jokingly called on Lionel Messi to sign the vote of no confidence.

"Sign the vote of no confidence or the contract renewal," he joked when asked if the Argentine would support him.

"Well, he's a socio, right? He could sign them both... No, I'm joking. I wouldn't change his contract renewal for him to sign the vote, but I'd ask him to sign [his contract] as soon as possible. And Andres Iniesta, too."
