Bartomeu on Tuesday: No player has told us they will leave

Josep Maria Bartomeu, president of FC Barcelona, made some interesting quotes on the 'Alves and Mascherano Case' in an interview which was recorded for Radio Montecarlo on Tuesday.

"No player has told us that they will leave. I read in the press, hear on the radio... there are a lot of clubs that want our players. But we are very confident that Messi, Pique, Iniesta, Busquets, Ter Stegen, Neymar and Suarez will continue. They've told us they're happy, so we are relaxed," Bartomeu said, who, coincidentally or not, did not mention Alves or Mascherno.

On the movements that could take place within the squad during the transfer window, he prediced a summer of new faces. "Every year there are changes, Barça will need freshening up, new names to generate excitement. New players will come and others will go, but I can't name names," he said after being asked about Hatem Ben Arfa.

In reference to Lionel Messi, Bartomeu reiterated his previous comments about the Argentine. "He has told us that Barça will be his only European club, so we are relaxed," he confirmed, before adding that the team "have completed nearly every objective they had at the beginning of the season."

He also praised Jeremy Mathieu and gave his opinion on the Champions League final. "It will be a good game, both teams have deserved to reach the final. But I think that UEFA 'owe' a Champions League to Atletico..." Bartomeu finished.
