Bartomeu: There has been no official offer for Pedro

Pedro will not leave Barcelona. Club president Josep Maria Bartomeu has calmed Barça's fanbase after all of the talk surrounding a possible imminent departure for the forward. "We have not received an official offer for Pedro," he said, after the team's 3-0 win over Roma in the Joan Gamper trophy match at Camp Nou.

"To my knowledge, Pedro isn't going," Bartomeu told TV3, admitting that "we have not received an official offer for Pedro." The Barça president confessed that "I want him to continue," because "he is a fundamental player for us, and what's more is that this season we have to play for six trophies. We need the best players possible, we would miss his experience and quality."

Bartomeu was very satisfied with the Gamper game, due to "the atmosphere, the good image it has given of the team, as in the tour, and because we have returned to Camp Nou with good football, that which we like."

The Barcelona president reiterated that Barça fans can go to Georgia with Catalan flags. "We will always defend freedom of experession with a cool head, with diplomacy. Socios have the freedom to express themselves as they wish."
