Bartomeu: "There are no easy rivals for Barça in the Champions League"

Josep Maria Bartomeu and his Barcelona colleagues, as is tradition in the Champions League, shared lunch with their APOEL Nicosia counterparts ahead of Wednesday night's clash between the two sides.

The scene chosen for the occasion was the Torre de Altamar restaruant, situated in the Barceloneta area of the city.

Before making his way to the lunch, Bartomeu, the Barça president, spoke to the press about the match at Camp Nou against the Cypriots.

"There are no easy or placid rivals," he said, not wanting to appear over confident.

"APOEL have a good team and I believe that we are going to see a really good match this evening.

"To play in a competition like the Champions League is always very exciting."

Bartomeu also made it clear, despite fielding questions about Real Madrid, that it is by no means just the Spanish teams who will be fighting for the title when the final comes around in Berlin next year.

"Real Madrid are not the only rival," he added. "There are a lot."
