Josep Maria Bartomeu confirms that his secret midfielder has already been secured
Josep Maria Bartomeu has revealed that the central midfielder which was wanted by Luis Enrique and his staff, has been secured within his pre-candidate campaign, but wouldn't share his name.
"The staff asked for a certain player. We already have him, but we aren't able to share his name," the former president explained at an event at Barcelona Tennis Club 1899.
"Our trident and treble win symbolise the sporting success that we have started and we can keep it up for two, three or four years.
According to Bartomeu, Barça "are currently better than in 2010 and we want 2021 to be even better still." He also explained that he wants to continue leading the club "with calmness, rigour and transparency."
"During these last five years we have worked a lot on the social side of things and we have organised more than 800 events with the Penyes. We will continue to do this."
