Barceona 2-0 PSG: Player ratings as Andres Iniesta shines at Camp Nou

Marc-Andre ter Stegen (7): He touched the ball more with his feet than his hands in the first half. He was alert in the second half, though, to keep the team calm. He made one save from Zlatan, but in general it was an easy night.

Dani Alves (8): He was fantastic in the first half. Played more as a winger than a full-back. His missile of a shot forced a save from Sirigu in the 24th minute and he created Neymar's second goal with a great piece of skill and a cross in the 34th minute.

Gerard Pique (7): Solid game from the Catalan defender. Always in the right place and played safely when he had to. Also headed a Rakitic corner just wide.

Javier Mascherano (7): Another good performance from the Argentine. He was always on top of the PSG forwards, keeping them from getting many worthwhile attempts on goal.

Jordi Alba (7): Back in the team after a rest at the weekend, he looked fresh and was quick up and down the left flank. Injured his ankle at the end, but recovered and was able to finish the match.

Ivan Rakitic (7): His defensive ability was notable — he recovered nine balls. The Croatian added calmness and professionalism. He didn't commit any fouls and received two. Understands his teammates better in each game he plays.

Sergio Busquets (8): Barcelona's defensive midfielder, one of the players who has played the most minutes, was taken off in the second half for Sergi Roberto, reserved for Saturday. Up until that point, he had been his usual steady, impressive self.

Andres Iniesta (8): Shone in a 45 minute performance. Some of his runs — notably the one for Neymar's goal — were fantastic, while he linked play well, too. Came off for Xavi at half time to stay fresh for Espanyol.

Lionel Messi (7): You always expect things from the Argeninte. Goals, assist, slaloming runs... On this occasions it wasn't possible, but his work was a huge help to the team. Had a chance to make it 3-0 at the end, but shot just wide, leaving him on 400 Barça goals.

Luis Suarez (7): Even though he didn't score or create a goal, he gave Marquinhos and David Luiz a tough night. He pressed hight and recovered various balls. Came off for Pedro.

Neymar (8): The Brazilian's performance was signed off by the game's two goals. Both in the first half. For the first he took the ball around the keeper and he headed the second home unmarked. Was UEFA's man of the match.

Substitutes

Xavi (7): Came on at the break and took over as captain. Kept the order.

Sergi Roberto (7): The Canterano was Luis Enrique's second change. Came on for Busquets and did well, helping Barcelona keep control. Didn't lose the ball.

Pedro (7): Came on for Suarez and hogged the wing, allowing Messi to go into the middle. Tried to take advantage of his minutes and set up Messi for his stoppage time chance.
