The club want to increase the Turkish midfielder's market value

The final objective is to sell hm -- even if they won't say so officially

Barcelona are clear what their strategy is with Arda Turan. They do not want the player to lose value and both the directors and employees at the club will say he is not for sale.

Officially, the club will consider Arda as another player in the squad, one more in Ernesto Valverde's plans for next season. Barça want to increase the player's value following inconsistent performances since he joined the club and the photographs which have circled of him looking overweight on holiday.

However, Barça also know that Arda is one of the players that could fetch a transfer fee now. But they want the biggest fee possible for a player that cost 34 million euros two years ago, in July 2015.

In this sense, the club feel the best way to tackle the 'Arda Case' is to highlight his value as a player: when he signed it was a big signing (he joined the club during the electoral process).

CONTROVERSIAL PHOTOS

The recent photographs of Arda looking overweight have not gone down well with the club. Barça feel the images do damage to the player's image and the public perception of him. That, in turn, reduces his value on the market.

But throughout the coming weeks, the club will try to increase his value again. The final objective is to sell him for a good fee by highlighting his potential as a player in pre-season and his ambition to be a success.
