Thomas Vermaelen left with gastroenteritis after the photo
As Sport revealed earlier this week, FC Barcelona had their official team photo on Friday. There were 24 players there including injured duo Ousmane Dembele and Rafinha Alcantara.
It took place on the number one pitch, named after Tito Vilanova, at the Ciutat Esportiva de Sant Joan Despi, before afternoon training.
Josep Maria Bartomeu, the club president, was present and correct, posing with coach Ernesto Valverde and his No 2, Jon Aspiazu. Just as with last season, the photographic session ended with the presence of the female football team.
The anecdote of the week involved Thomas Vermaelen. He arrived not feeling well and as soon as the official photo was taken, he went home. The club later informed that he was suffering gastroenteritis.
