Three clasicos against Real Madrid are the highlight
FC Barcelona's pre-season will feature three matches against Real Madrid. Ernesto Valverde, Barça's new coach, will start his reign with three clásicos against Barça's eternal rival.
The first of the three matches will be a friendly in Miami. However, the next two will be more significant as the two clubs play for the Spanish Super Cup, the first title of the season. The dates for these two matches have still not been confirmed.
The most emotional match will take place in the Joan Gamper Trophy. Barça will play Chapecoense in a match that will act as a memorial to the victims of the air crash that the Brazilian team suffered in 2016. Tragically, the majority of the squad was killed in the crash.
These are the dates of FC Barcelona's pre-season matches:
23 July - Juventus in New York (00:00 Spanish time).
27 July - Manchester United in Washington (01:30 Spanish time).
29 July - Real Madrid 19:30 local time (01:30 Spanish time), Hard Rock Stadium (Miami).
7 August - Chapecoense 20:30, Nou Camp.
12/13 and 15/16 August - Real Madrid (Spanish Super Cup).
