Barcelona's ghost goal was 57 centimetres over the Real Betis goal-line

Technology has revealed just how clearly the ball was in at the Benito Villamarin on Sunday

Neither the linesman nor referee Hernandez Hernandez saw that the ball had clearly crossed the line, despite the fact images revealed that the ball was over half a meter over the line.

The ghost goal at Real Betis on Sunday was the weekend's big talking point. According to the show El Chiringuito, the ball crossed by Aleix Vidal and turned towards his own goal by Piccini was 57 centimetres over Antonio Adan's goal-line when Aissa Mandi cleared it.

The moment came during the 1-1 draw between Betis and Barça. The home side had just taken the lead but the instant reaction from Luis Enrique's side looked to have got them an immediate equaliser.

However, with the goal not given, they had to wait until the 90th minute before eventually levelling. Therefore, they didn't have as much time to search for the winner -- that would have been the winner if the earlier goal had been given.

Hernandez Hernandez's serious error saw Real Madrid increase their lead over Barça to two points as they beat Real Sociedad later in the day.
