Barcelona's Aleix Vidal given chance for closure against Alaves

Alaves have an important spot in Aleix Vidal's biography at FC Barcelona. It is not a sentimental link, but one he will not like. In the third week of the season Barcelona lost 2-1 to them at Camp Nou and he was made the scapegoat, therby starting a nightmare period for him.

Left out of the squad for weeks on end, it was 41 days before he returned to the squad list. He did not play a single minute from week three until week 18 in La Liga, against Las Palmas, where he played the full game. He went 14 matches in La Liga without playing, 9 times not in the squad, 2 time because of injury, once because he was allowed the weekend off to get married and twice from the bench. 

Things have changed in 2017 and he is now back in the coache's good books. He ha started three of the last four games in La Liga, with this the fourth of five. In the previous four he has two goals and four assists. His spectacular form shows Luis Enrique he made a mistake to sideline him for so long.
