Barcelona working on the best solution for Denis Suarez's future

Denis Suarez was the subject of a discussion among Barcelona's sporting department this past summer.

Some insisted patience was needed while he continued with Barça B and adapted to Luis Enrique's methods; others preferred that he closed a two year loan deal with Unai Emery's Sevilla.

Fortunately, everyone was in agreement that the young midfielder should remain in Barça's control and his enormous talent be taken care of.

Two months later, Suarez has already showed his quality in a Sevilla team which has impressed in la Liga.

The Galician player has been handed freedom by Emery to move between the lines and the results have exceeded expectations - he was named in the LFP's team of the month for September.

His impressive performances in Spain's top flight have reopened the debate over his future.

Barça have been analysing the performance of all of their players who are out on loan recently, and, in the case of Suarez, they have been plesently surprised with how quickly he has shone in Andalucia.

It has always been whispered at the club that, if his progression went as it could, Suarez could even become an eventual replacement for Andres Iniesta.

The transition period could start within a couple of seasons.

At the moment it is considered premature to make any decision with regards to next season, but it isn't out of the question, if Suarez continues to grow, that Barça look into bringing him back to Camp Nou at the end of the current season.

That would be tricky, though.

Suarez's loan to Sevilla is for two seasons and it does not permit him to return to Catalonia during the first year.

On top of that, at the end of the two years, Sevilla have an option to buy the creative player for €6million.

However, Barça have the last word in a complicated agreement which also involves money as part of the Ivan Rakitic deal.

It is therefore important to remember that deals between the two clubs have been well-managed in recent years and neither club will want to sever those good relations.

Barça's transfer ban, it is thought, would not hinder them bringing Suarez back in 2015 if they wanted.

At the moment, Barcelona are being prudent about the situation - Denis Suarez must continue to exhibit his talent for a longer period of time than a couple of months.

Aside from his excellent performances, Barça have been woken up by outside interest in the player.

The 'Daily Star' have suggested Jose Mourinho is monitoring the 20-year-old and Suarez is not foreign to the Premier League.

During his formation as a player, he left Celta Vigo for Manchester City before signing for Barcelona.
