The Uruguayan needed the help of his team-mates once again as Barca beat Sevilla

He has not scored in 451 minutes and is enduring a tough season

Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez is in bad form. He has gone 451 minutes without scoring for Barcelona. He's tried practically everything in recent games without being able to break his personal negative streak.

Ernesto Valverde's system doesn't play into his hands exactly but the team is convinced it's just a question of time before Suarez scores again. In fact, he doesn't lack public support. The coach and Suarez's team-mates have defended him.

Paco Alcacer, who scored twice, said: "Because he's going through a bad run you don't have to whistle him or say negative things. Luis has given a lot to Barcelona and he will keep doing so because he has enormous qualities. He's a top player and we have no doubt he will score, he has goals and fight in him," he told beIN Sports.

Rakitic added: "We'll be stronger still when Suarez scores."

VALVERDE BACKS HIM

The coach said: "I'm delighted with him, he always fights and has chances, it's a question of perseverance because things always get there in the end.

"They talk so much because it seems forwards always have to score, there are good runs and others in which you don't score. We love his work, as much in attack as defence."
