Barcelona will return to Wembley... to play Liverpool

Barcelona will return to Wembley, where they won the European Cup in 1992 and in 2011. They will play there this summer on August 6 against Jugen Klopp’s Liverpool side in a friendly. 

The game was presented on Tuesday and Liverpool represtenative Gary McAllister said: “It will be an incredible game to round off a great tournament [International Champions Cup] in a magical stadium like Wembley. 

“I am sure that everyone will enjoy the spectacle, both fans of Liverpool and of football in general.” 

The tournament will be played between July 23 and August 13 and games will be played all over the world. 

As well as Barcelona and Liverpool, Leicester, Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Celtic, Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, PSG, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Melbourne Victory will also participate.

Barça will also face Leicester City and Celtic in Stockholm and Dublin respectively.
