Barcelona were advised of Neymar-PSG talks three weeks ago

The Neymar case has been going on for the last week. In reality, though, Barcelona were informed of talks between Neymar's people and Paris Saint-Germain weeks ago. 

Barça representatives in Brazil, who have close relations with Neymar and his father, told the club that there were talks with the French club and that it could be serious. 

However, despite being alerted to the danger, Barça decided not to speak directly with the player until he arrived back in Barcelona. And then the conversations with PSG were at an advanced stage. 

Barcelona were told that Neymar was de-motivated to continue with the club. And this time it seemed serious. Barça did speak with Neymar when he returned to preseason training, but by then more than one director was worried about his future. 

Neymar boarded the plane to the United States thinking of PSG and Barça had given up hope of keeping him. 

But while in America, Barcelona have gone on the offensive in a bid to convince him to stay. They spoke with the player, using coaches and players, and it seemed that he had changed his mind, but things have swung again and everything remains uncertain. The club are pessimistic, though. 

Ney has even distanced himself from people at the club he's previously trusted, making people fear the worst. In any case, his father has always made it clear the forward himself will have the last say. And he's having doubts.
