Rumours suggest he underwent a medical in Porto on Wednesday
Anyone who thought the 'Neymar saga' was about to end after Wednesday's developments was wrong. Or at least that's what's coming from the Catalan club, who have said that Neymar has permission to miss training with Barcelona but "in no case to take a medical with Paris Saint-Germain."
Neymar travelled to Porto on Wednesday afternoon, setting of all sorts of rumours, especially keeping in mind PSG's sporting director Antero Henrique is Portuguese. The main suspicion is that he went to the city to have a medical ahead of a move to the French club, who will pay his 222 million euros buyout clause.
However, Barça say, amid these reports, Neymar would be violating the strict sense of the word 'permit' and that under no circumstances would he be allowed to undergo a medical examination with another club.
