His current deal runs until 2019 and has a 20 million euro buyout clause

The club will begin talks with his agent once they're back from the U.S.

Once Barcelona return to Spain from the USA, among the matters on the table is the extension of Gerard Deulofeu's contract. 

The winger, who has not travelled to North America due to a problem with his knee and his abductor, signed a deal with the club until 2019 earlier this summer, with his release clause set at 20 million euros -- a figure the club feel is too cheap for a player of his level. 

Barça exercised their right to bring him back from Everton in June, paying 12 million euros after he impressed on loan in Italy with Milan last season. 

Since the UEFA U21 Championships, Deulofeu has been training at the club to regain his fitness and make his way into new coach Ernesto Valverde's plans. 

One of the club's priorities is to give him a new deal ahead of what promises to be his first full season with the first team/
