Barcelona want to slow down Pedro to Man United deal

FC Barcelona and Manchester United have been in advanced negotiations over Pedro Rodriguez's transfer. However, Neymar's bout of mumps means Barcelona will need him in the European Super Cup and the transfer may be delayed. 

On Saturday there were meetings between both sides. The English team want to get Pedro as soon as possible, so he can play in the Champions League qualifiers. 

Barcelona, with Neymar out, want to slow down the operation and play Pedro alongside Messi and Suarez against Seville in Tbilisi. 

Despite Barcelona's hope of slowing the deal down, Manchester United are keen to get it done quickly. For his part, Pedro has been named in the squad for the Super Cup and is set to travel with the team on Monday.
