Barcelona waiting on the fitness of Javier Mascherano
The first team had a recovery session on Wednesday but the Argentine didn't take part
Barcelona returned to training on Wednesday after securing their place to the Copa del Rey final on Tuesday night. They trained in a good atmosphere having reached their fourth consecutive final with a hard-fought win over Atletico Madrid.
The session was a recovery one for the players who started the game against Atletico at Camp Nou, but it was also the first preparation session ahead of the game against Alaves at Mendizorroza on Saturday.
However, there's concern about Javier Mascherano's fitness after the Argentine ended Tuesday's game with a hamstring problem.
Mascherano was the only major absence from the session, which Luis Enrique bulked out with the presence of Marlon, Gumbau and Sarsanedas. Rafinha is also taking it easy due to a broken nose.
