FC Barcelona transfers Halilovic to Hamburg for five million euros

FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with German club Hamburg, for the transfer of Croatian midfielder Alen Halilovic, according to Catalan TV programme 'Esport 3'.

The deal would see Barça receiving five million euros for the international player, who would sign a contract with the Bundesliga team for the next four seasons.

Only minor details remain to be resolved before the parties make the transfer official.

Barça would ensure a buy-back option is inserted in the deal, which would be valid for the first two seasons, totalling 10 million euros for the first year, and 12.5 million euros for the second year.

Halilovic had an offer on the table from Valencia but opted for the Hamburg proposal, which provided better economic conditions for the player.

The Croatian was not included in the list of players requested by Luis Enrique to return to pre-season training on Tuesday, as he had permission to resolve his future.

Hamburg had originally requested the loan of Halilovic, but have finally decided on a permanent transfer.

The player was on loan at Sporting Gijon last campaign, where he participated in 36 games, scoring three times.
