Barça have decided to wait before making a final decision on the winger

The player wants guarantees he will be valued and Barça are looking at Plan B

The return of Gerard Deulofeu is not as clear as it was a few weeks ago. Barça and, above all, Robert Fernandez were keen to bring him back after his performances for Milan, but all parties involved are allowing some time for a decision to be made.

Barça are looking at other options on the market. The club's priorities remain the same. They will invest in a right-back and a midfielder, with the option to add another forward who can play wide further down the list. In any case, everything depends on the player, who wants guarantees before returning.

Both Robert and Ernesto Valverde have reached a consensus on ins and outs. The departures are clear and it is now a case of waiting for offers. The club will work hard to sign right-back Hector Bellerin, the No.1 target this summer. From there, they want to invest on a top level central midfielder, too.

If both of those targets are hit, the budget for a winger and a centre-back, the other two positions where players are wanted, won't be huge. That's why Deulofeu is a wanted man. He's is available for 12 million euros based on the clause the club put in the deal when they sold him to Everton two summers ago. Barça are open to other options as Plan B, but know that would mean spending more money.

But Deulofeu has the biggest say. He wants to know what role he will have. He understands with the MSN trident he won't be the star, but he wants to feel valued. Deulofeu knows Milan want him after his impressive spell on loan and in Italy he has other options, too. Eveton, in fact, may even be ready to give him another chance. It's a decision which could drag on for another couple of weeks yet with the player currently focused on his Spain duties.
