Barcelona stars tested for drugs by UEFA 'vampires' ahead of Champions League final

Barcelona stars had to undergo doping control tests administered by UEFA's 'vampires' on Wednesday, ahead of Saturday's Champions League final against Juventus.

On this occasion, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Gerard Pique, Ivan Rakitic, Xavi, Leo Messi, Neymar Jr, Rafinha, Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto and Adriano were picked to be tested.

It meant some of them missed Xavi Hernandez's goodbye homage, which was also delayed because of the tests, on Wednesday afternoon.

UEFA had also tested other Barcelona players on May 28, picking: Martín Montoya, Sergio Busquets, Pedro, Iniesta, Luis Suárez, Mascherano, Marc Bartra, Dani Alves, Vermaelen and Jeremy Mathieu.
