Barcelona star Andres Iniesta was substituted as a precaution

One of the highlights of Barcelona's win over Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night was the performance of Andres Iniesta.

The midfielder, who captained Barça, created the first goal with a marvellous run and was a threat throughout the first half.

However, he was withdrawn at half time, with Xavi coming on in his place.

Speaking at his press conference after the game, Luis Enrique explained that there is nothing to be worried about.

Iniesta was injured in the win in Paris last week and missed the 2-0 win over Valencia at the weekend — he received the all clear from the club's doctors to return to action on Monday morning.

"It was just a precaution," Enrique said when asked about the change, pointing out that there was no need to take any risks considering the players recent back injury.

"The players are not machines and they are not able to play the same every day, so there is no need to push them."
