Barcelona B squad angry that Sergio Garcia trained with them
Barcelona B have nothing in play in the last three weeks of the Segunda B Group 3 season. Maybe that's why Gerard Lopez allowed his friend Sergio Garcia, a declared Madridista and socio of the club, to train with the squad at the Ciutat Esportiva on Thursday. That could be it, if, in March too, the golfer hadn't already exercised with the Barcelona second team.
Sergio Garcia took part from start to finish, the warm-up until the final exercise, including the rondos. He did it in official Barcelona kit, like he was a last-minute signing ready to play in the last three games - fruit of the great relationship he has with Gerard Lopez. The Spanish golfer is a big football fan and before dedicating himself to golf, started playing in the third division.
His presence, however, was not appreciated by Barcelona B youngsters, who cannot understand how a team as professional as Barcelona can allow episodes like today's to occur. They think it is a lack of sincerity and bad professionalism that someone can train with them, whoever he is, whatever he's called and regardless of whose friend he is.
