Barcelona socios increasingly worried about Messi's future at the club

Lionel Messi's contract renewal is now one of Barcelona socios main concerns, according to results from the club's bi-annual survey. 

The Argentine star's future is now the main worry for 5.4 percent of Bara socios. The last time the survey was taken, six months ago, it didn't appear at all. 

In this sense, Josep Vives, the club's spokeman, has said that "we want to send a message of confidence and calm [regarding the renewal], but also of discretion." 

He continued: "Messi's renewal is a subject which interests a lot of people and for that reason we have to work on it discretely." 

Messi's contract renewal is also the biggest challenge facint the club in the future according to 3.7 percent of socios, while 2.1 percent say the biggest task facing the Blaurgana is replacing Messi.
