Barcelona keep signing promising young players. SPORT can confirm they have signed Cristobal Munoz, a 12 year old who plays for Pavia, a team in Almeria affiliated with Malaga, and he will play at Barcelona in the Infantil B category from August. The player had a lot of offers, including from Real Madrid, but he opted for Barcelona.
They have been following him for a while and took the decision when he was playing at the Power Gol Cup. Cristobal was one of the players of the tournament and shone in the final against Espanyol. Barcelona staff Jordi Roura and Aureli Altimira were there, along with Marc Serra, and Infantil B coach Sergi Mila.
They believe he is the most talented player of his generation. A winger who can play in various other positions, already quite physically developed and with spectacular quality. He won various trophies last season as the best player. He scored 41 goals for Pavia, although he plays for Malaga in the important tournaments.
He will live at La Masia and the first tournament he will play for Barcelona is in Japan. Las week Juan David Fuentes signed for the Cadete B team - and there will be more names soon.
