Barcelona set sights on Inter Milan youngster Marcelo Brozovic

Barcelona's sporting director does not rest. Despite the January transfer window being about to open, the club are working on possible incorporations for June.

After the plan to loan Robert from Fluminense was revealed, the latest to add to the list of incomings may be Inter Milan's Marcelo Brozovic.

Il Corriere Dello Sport say that the Croatian central-midfielder is on Robert Fernandez's agenda. The newspaper said that they are chasing a player whose value increased with each day that passes.

At just 23, Brozovic has aroused interest from Europe's biggest sides, without even playing an entire year in Serie A. He signed for Inter last January, from Dinamo Zagreb.

Sevilla, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are also following his development, with the player's cost expected to reach up to €25million, a big investment for someone who has not reached his potential yet.

In theory, Barcelona will be well covered in the centre next season. As well as regular starters Busquets, Rakitic and Iniesta, there's also Sergi Roberto, Rafinha, and Arda Turan. None of those seem likely to leave, so Brozovic's incorporation is more difficult.
