Barcelona send scout to Porto to watch No 1 target Danilo

Barcelona sent a scout to Portugal at the weekend with the objective of keeping an eye on the performance of Porto's Danilo, who is the club's No.1 target to replace Dani Alves at right-back.

Following a week which had also seen the Brazilian linked with Real Madrid, a Barca representative was on hand to take in Porto's match against Vitoria Guimaraes.

It came as a slight surprise, as Barca do not usually have scouts present at the Portuguese club's home matches

There were plenty of other teams with scouts at the game: Celta Vigo, Granada, Villarreal, Everton, Tottenham, Sochaux, Lille, Montepellier, Marseille, Juventus, Sassuolo, PSV and Basel were also represented.

Danilo ended the game with an injury, although he is expected to be fine for the upcoming Champions League game with Basel.
