Barcelona reject loan offer from Nantes for Douglas
The French side are interested in the Brazilian right-back
Brazilian full-back Douglas Pereira will return to Barcelona this summer but the defender is not in Ernesto Valverde's plans for next season.
Various clubs have shown an interest in signing him but only Nantes have made a formal offer for the player.
But Barça have rejected Nante's offer to take Douglas on loan to Ligue 1. The French side's offer was to take him for one season and pay 50 percent of his salary -- which was of no interest to the La Liga champions.
Douglas has spent the last two seasons away on loan, first at Sporting Gijon in La Liga, with his salary paid in full by the Spanish club.
Last season he was on loan at Benfica, with the Portuguese club paying 75 percent of his wages.
Barcelona have rejected Nantes' offer because their intention is to sell him, but if he does go on loan they want at least 75 percent of his salary covered again.
