Barcelona put a new price on Brazil star Neymar's head
Neymar is now worth more to Barça than he was a year ago
The forward has various clauses included in his most recent contract
Neymar's worth less today (Friday, June 30), than he will be tomorrow (Saturday, July 1). That's because from July, the Barcelona star's price will go up for anyone interested in signing him as a result of the contract he signed with the Catalan club last summer.
That's because the Brazili international's release clause will go up. A release clause which will vary throughout the course of his Camp Nou contract.
His 190 million euro clause increased to 200 million euros last season (16-17) and, as of July, will go up to 222 million euros (17-18 season). In the final three years of his deal (18-19, 19-20, 20-21), his release clause will increase again, to 250 million euros.
Despite signing a renewal with Barça, Neymar has still been linked with various clubs across Europe, even though he himself has stressed his desire to remain at the Blaugrana.
