Arda Turan had an astronomic offer of 20 million euros in his hands from China this summer but rejected it, which various chiefs at Barcelona found incomprehensible. The player had been offered a gigantic salary to leave Camp Nou.
Barcelona would have recieved 40 million euros for the move, covering what they paid Atletico Madrid for his signature.
It was a big surprise that he refused to go, with the reason being that he didn't think he would adapt to the style of life in China.
However at Barcelona he is not needed in Ernesto Valverde's side and there was a story that he was potentially going on loan to Galatasaray, although that didn't come off.
He has been ostracised somewhat, not featuring in a single minute of the official season - perhaps he should have spoken with Paulinho, who arrived after a great time at Guangzhou Evergrande, with titles and recognition.
