Barcelona player ratings: Munir misses chance to impress

Claudio Bravo 6

Given the nod over Ter Stegen after coming back from injury. Dealt with a Kevin Gameiro header well early on and then superbly denied the striker when he was played through. Not at fault for the goals.

Sergi Roberto 6

Selected at right-back over Dani Alves. Drove forward well. Perhaps could have done more to help cut out the second goal. 

Gerard Pique 5

Was dragged out of position a few times and committed an early foul. Improved as the game went on, but overall a poor showing.

Jeremy Mathieu 5

An improvement on his other recent showings, clearly more comfortable at centre-back these days, but still struggled at times. Caught flat footed for Sevilla's opener.

Jordi Alba 5

Done down the right by Kevin Gameiro as Sevilla went in front from a cross from that side. Absent in attack, when compared to his usual dynamism.

Javier Mascherano 4

Should have shut down Krohn-Delhi for the second goal but failed to do his job. Not as good as Sergio Busquets in the defensive midfield role.

Sergio Busquets 5

Booked in the first half as Barcelona struggled to hold back Sevilla. Struggled to provide anything going forward in a slightly more advanced position. 

Ivan Rakitic 5

Virtually invisible. His best work was a cheeky chipped through-ball for Suarez which was cut out.

Munir El Haddadi 4

Contributed little, bar a low cross which was hacked away by Sevilla. Taken off.

Luis Suarez 6

Saw his shot blocked after Neymar played him in, before miscontrolling a cross which should have led to the opening goal. Hit the bar with a floated effort at the end of the first half. 

Neymar 7

His 100th appearance for the club. Started well, firing in a low strike which tested Sergio Rico, and setting up a chance for Suarez with a fine dribble. Struck the post with a superb free kick which somehow wasn't turned home as it dribbled along the goal-line. Denied by Rico on three occasions in the second half within the space of a minute. Fired home from the penalty spot as Barcelona fought their way back into the game.

Forced the penalty as his strike was handled on the edge of the area. Hit the post from a low Suarez cross. 

Dani Alves 5

Had little impact on the game.
