Barcelona player ratings vs Celtic: Denis Suarez shone brightly

Jordi Masip 7: Good game, with some decent interventions. Could do nothing with the goal thanks to Martinez's error.

Aleix Vidal 6: Secure. Left a good taste in the mouth, helped set up Arda for the first goal.

Jose Antonio Martinez 4: A game to forget for the young centre-back. This wasn't an easy game for him, but committed an infantile error which cost the team a goal. Hopefully this doesn't affect his confidence.

Jeremy Mathieu 6: Like always, he started with some doubts and lacking balance, but got into the game and ended up leading the defence.

Juan Camara 7: The kid has speed. Got forward well, playing on the left, and a cross of his ended up in the net thanks to Ambrose's own goal. Sometimes made mistakes but he has good potential to improve.

Sergi Roberto 7: Although Lucho will play him on the right, on this occasion he was the defensive pivot. A solid showing and in the second half showed his quality further forward.

Arda Turan 6: Scored the first goal with a fine effort from outside the box. His game worsened from there and by the end he was exhausted, taken off early in the second half.

Denis Suarez 8: Played well in the right interior role. Provided a lot of solutions, with Xavi's No 6 shirt fitting like a glove.

Lionel Messi 7: The third goal came from his boots, with a fine pass of over 30 metres helping set it up. Only played the first 45 minutes.

Luis Suarez 7: Was alone at times, like Robinson Crusoe on his island, but as is normal for the Uruguayan, laid on a magnificent assist for Munir's goal. When Leo off, he was more Crusoe than before. Could have scored the fourth after a good Samper ball.

Munir El Haddadi 7: Scored a goal, always active, as much in pressing on his wing as looking for attacking openings.

SUBS

Samper 7: Good game, never complicated life.

Alena 7: Could soon become very well known, brought talent and quality, a fine presence in the middle.

Marlon 7: Played at right centre-back, unfortunately didn't get enough time to show his shooting power.

Alfaro 6: Came on for Suarez and played at centre-forward. Didn't get too involved.

Mujica 6: Combined with Alfaro in attack. Not lame, but didn't offer much.

Carbonell 6: Appeared little, but didn't lose the ball when he had it and was always alert.

Jose Suarez 6: Played little more than 10 minutes in goal and was attentive. No problems.

Nili 6: Sensible game although far from ready for the first team.

Gumbau 6: Played in midfield, correct with all his moves.
