Barcelona now negotiating with Galatasaray over midfielder Arda Turan

The Turkish club want to bring Turan back home

President Ozbek is leading the talks with Barça

FC Barcelona and Galatasaray have been in contact over the future of midfielder Arda Turan. Turkish newspaper Fanatik reported on Saturday that the president of Galatasaray, Dursum Ozbek, is pushing for the deal after being given the green light by the team's coach, Igor Tudor, this week.

Turan's former side are looking to strengthen in January due to the number of injury problems they have in the squad. Earlier this week, Tudor backed a move for Turan, someone who he said is a "hard worker and a complete player."

In this sense, Ozbek has got straight to work. Remember that Galatasaray negotiated with Barça in the summer, too. On that occasion, an agreement between the two clubs was complete. However, the deal didn't happen because the player was not ready to leave Barcelona.

After not getting action under Ernesto Valverde -- Turan's not played a competitive minute this season -- the only option may be to move on in the winter.
