FC Barcelona do NOT want to sign Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic

FC Barcelona sources have confirmed that the club are not interested in signing Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic, as has been rumoured.

The club are aiming to sign players of a younger profile and at 30 he does not fit within Barcelona's parameters.

That is as the club representative Albert Soler, head of professional sports at Barcelona, confirmed. The Blaugrana want a young forward to bolster the attacking line of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez.

Sao Paulo striker Jonathan Calleri, 22, is one of the forwards on Barcelona's list of potential signings.

His contract ends on June 30, 2017, and he was the top goalscorer in the 2016 Copa Libertadores, won by Atletico Nacional, even though his team were eliminated in the semi-finals.
